Women of Substance plays LMTD(Dreamin’) on their Online Radio Show!
The jazzy dreamy song receives airplay on the 25th August in a playlist on their #1 Award Winning Podcast show which goes out on iTunes, as well as many other platforms and is heard by over 10,000 monthly listeners and promoted to over 60,000 social media followers.
That’s a big reach for a song that was recorded 8 years ago and is only available in a few places as it has not yet been officially released although I made CD’s featuring an alternative version and two videos, one from the recording day in the studio and the other of a live performance in a beautiful beach garden in Goa.

New listeners now get a chance to hear the words that I feel could really make a difference to people right now. I also want to make sure that more people get to hear the wonderful guitar work of Guy Fitz, this song is a beautiful collaboration that just has to be celebrated!
The story of the songs creation is that whilst picking apples in an orchard in England I started to think about my next travels back to a magical beach in India. All of the lyrics came to me along with the melody that day and I started singing it on a loop whilst picking and dreaming away.
I then worked on the song further in Goa that season and even sung it on stage accapella in Loekie cafe, a venue that had been famous for its Jam Sessions since the 1960’s; the cafe no longer exists although everyone remembers all the talented performers that had played there when it was only a bench where the musicians and singers sat to perform with no amplification at all.
Upon my return to England I met up with Guy and we started to bring the music to the lyrics and melody that I had created. We played our enhanced version of the song at our friends birthday party, some of our friends said they loved it and suggested that we add more sounds to it. So we started weekly practices during the summer seasons when we were all together. The Dreaming Song (as we all called it then) was the starting point of the formation of our own band, we learnt blues and jazz cover songs, created more songs together which I wrote the lyrics for and we played in local pubs in the area.
After a while I decided that I wanted to pursue more of my own music and as we went our separate ways, the other members formed a new band and I continued composing songs. I started performing more at various venues in India and Nepal whilst still creating new songs to add to my growing collection, some of which I later recorded in Vienna.
At the very ‘Cosy Studios’ in Kent, England in 2013, Guy and I recorded our version of LMTD(Dreamin’) plus an alternative version and I also had backing tracks made for live performances.

Later there were remixes made of the original song, one was created by an English friend in Berlin, he took the original stem files of my vocals and laid them over a dance track he had made. You can hear it on my Soundcloud channel, it’s a perfect beach bar song that can also be best used in a chilled mix to watch the sun go down with…
