Head on over to Spotify now and listen to the spring playlist Smiley Dayz for the audio soundtrack to that happy feeling we get when the season changes!
If you read my last blog about the You Are Love playlist then you already know why I create these collections.
If you didn't, you can go back and read it, or use this link: https://charleesa.com/home/blog/you-are-love-playlist
'Things To Smile About' by Charleesa is the first song in this list because it sets the tone for the month.
Can you hear the 'birds a singing high in the trees'? Do you see the 'grass so green' ? Are you looking forward to the delight of the 'prettiest flowers that you've ever seen' as the buds start to show up all over the gardens?
Wake up to the sound of this country style pop number created in Vienna and released in July 2018.
Enjoy the happy vibe as you move on to the next jolly songs in the playlist and remember that if the rain should fall just a little more before the summer; to get out your umbrellas and take shelter until you can dance int he streets again!
'Smile' because you can, be 'Happy' because life's truly wonderful! 'And The Beat Goes On' as you start to feel joyful.
Darin Jellison a member of my pod created by Jacqueline Jax of A.V.A Live Radio brings you his song 'I Know I' with lots of good intention.
'La Isla Bonita' by Madonna was my soundtrack last October when I went to Ibiza for the first time and loved it!
I love the song 'My People' and it is in the playlist because it has a great uplifting vibration and message so it also fits to own brand of music.
Have 'High Hope' and keep 'Keeping Your Head Up' as you put some 'New Shoes' on. The mood is improving and you are brightening up can you 'Feel It Still' ? Go on you 'Shiney Happy People' go and 'Put Your Records On' ! 'Smile' again and look up to the sky, it's blue and 'Clear As Water'
The song from George Ezra called 'Shotgun' is bouncy and has that feel good vibe that everyone loves. If you've seen the video you know that it's about travelling around and has lots of beaches in it - I loved it when I watched it and that's why it in the list.
'Over The Rainbow' is there because, well because it's beautiful and also because it is one of my Mum's favourite songs. Did you notice that my song 'Things To Smile About' says Feat: Slinky? Well that's actually my Mum! She narrates at the end of the song and that's why I have added the song by Judy Garland to this list.
I love 'Three Little Birds' and it always makes me happy so that's also in this list along with 'Dont Worry Be Happy' which is really an obvious choice.
Taking a step back in the list 'My Favourite Things' sung by Connie Fisher is there because, well because it's from one of my favourite musicals 'The Sound Of Music' of course!
The film which is set in Austria has been one of those films that I watched more than once throughout my life, it was shown on television at Christmas time and I saw it just before I came to live in Vienna.
I love every song in the film and even use 'Doe A Deer' to warm up sometimes, my Mum and I sang it very often at home together too - I think she actually introduced me to the film in the first place. I went to Salzburg a couple of years ago where the musical was filmed & vowed to take my Mum there with me sometime, I think it would be a fantastic place to shoot a music video for my song 'Keep Climbing' too!
Sooooooo I hope that you enjoy hearing the playlist, whether it's from the very start or on shuffle. I wish you a happy feeling and for a smile to cross your face more than once & maybe you will even sing along to some of the songs. If you find a new artist to follow because of my list then that's even better.
Remember that if you love it, maybe one of your friends will too; so pass it along and make someone feel great today.
