I am proud to announce that the latest single release taken from my forthcoming debut album is now available on all online platforms such as cdbaby where it is hosted, iTunes, Amazon, Googleplay and many more.
I wrote the song in India one sunny afternoon at my apartment after a day at the beach, it was one of those moments when you realise that there is so much beauty in the world and so much of it is a gift from nature that we so often take for granted.
''Bird's a singing high in the trees, prettiest flowers that I've ever seen'' {Lyrics from the song (c)}
I met Vitthal Claes Svedberg a great guitarist in Goa and told him about my music , I explained that I would like someone to play with me & then record the song in the studio. We made a practice session at his house near the beach, I sang the song to him and gave him the printed lyrics; he then played my melody on the guitar and together we built up the sound of the music. It flowed well and we practiced a few more times before performing it live at Dylan's Coffee house, then I took him to the studio in Assagoa I was using and layed down the track in one session; I loved the outcome and he enjoyed his first studio recording session.
I uploaded the song to my Soundcloud account where I had put the acoustic versions of my songs and the response was great. Later when creating my debut album of motivating, inspiring, empowering music in Vienna, it was clear to me that this would be one of the songs to be re-recorded in my current direction of positve pop music.
I had the idea to write a narrative for the end of the song being inspired by memories of watching classic old western movies at my grandparents house after school as a child. At the end of the film perhaps after the shootout or as the characters made their final act or as the cowboy got the girl, there would usually be a round up of the story spoken over the last scenes as they rode off into the sunset. I arranged for my Mum to come to visit me in Vienna and took her into the studio after a couple of trial run throughs at home, I knew that she would do a perfect job of being the reader at the end to finish the song as she has always been great at getting into character when reading stories to me, she really loved being in the studio and being a part of my song. I am very happy to have a memory for a lifetime of her voice on my track and being in the studio with her because she had always been my greatest supporter and we spent many wonderful moments singing songs together when I was growing up.
The song which has been featured on A.V.A Live Radio an online radio station based in America on their New Music Monday session and recieved great comments has now been submitted to two other online radio stations for playing next month. There is a video in editing stage which will be released in September and uploaded to my YouTube channel.
